BONK!'s Response to Covid-19

Since the inception of the BONK! series, our foundational principles have been ones of justice, equity, and a commitment to listening to and providing a platform for those that are most marginalized in our community and our society overall.  

As much of our community has transitioned back to pre-pandemic levels of caution, our volunteer team has been listening carefully to disabled and immunocompromised advocates who have been unequivocal in their message – large gatherings indoors of unmasked people put their health, safety, and very lives at risk.  

In solidarity with the disabled and immunocompromised, BONK! will continue to operate with care and caution for those that remain at risk in our community and that means returning to virtual programming for the fall and winter months with hopes of regathering when the weather makes meeting in person outdoors feasible, or when the spread of Covid-19 presents marginal risks to our full community.  

We love you, BONK! family. We will continue to provide a home for poetry and music and community online until we can be together again safely.
